STUCKER, ALMA H. - Alma H. Stucker of Mount Vernon, former Chairwoman of the Westchester Woman's Club Intermediates and business woman, died peacefully at her home on February 27th. She was 93. She was the widow of a 41 year marriage with Gilbert F. Stucker, a paleontologist at the Museum of Natural History. Ms. Stucker was the daughter of the late Rudolf J. and Frieda Biele Helbing of Mount Vernon, New York. An alumna of Swarthmore College class of 1937 and the Davis High School, Ms. Stucker served as Office Manager to the Cardiologist, Arthur C. Degraff and SecretaryTreasurer and subsequently President of the Committee for the Promotion of Medical Research Inc. at New York University School of Medicine. She and her husband were avid outdoors companions enjoying canoeing, hiking, skiing and bike riding throughout the U.S., Canada and much of Europe. She and her husband were active members of the New York Chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club of which she had served as Treasurer. She was also a member of the Echo Bay Yacht Club. A Memorial Service is planned for Saturday May 30th (10AM) at the Wartburg Chappel, the Wartburg Campus, Mount Vernon, New York.

VERA BIELE, 99, of WALL, died peacefully Sunday, Oct. 7, at Sunrise Assisted Living of Wall. Born in the Bronx, she resided there before moving to Wall three years ago. She was a devoted wife, sister, sister-in-law and aunt who centered her life around family. Vera was known for her thoughtful ways and loving commitment to her family.
Vera was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Biele, in 1999; her sisters, Julia Rivetti, Elsie Caruso, Mary Saice, Gilda Sicignano, and Sylvia Locke; and her brothers, Dominic Mennillo, Anthony Mennillo, and Frank Mennillo. Vera dearly loved her family and her family dearly loved her. Vera is survived by her niece, Maria Sibbald and her husband Ed; her great-niece, Kristen Ruhland and her husband Joseph of Statesboro, Ga.; her great-nephew, Eddie and his wife Charlotte of Chicago.; her nephew, Ralph Salice and his wife Nikki of Kailua, Hawaii; her great-nieces, Danielle and Nicole Salice of California; her sister-in-law, Stella Salice of Brooklyn; her nephew, Lois Rivetti and his wife Gail of Wall; her niece, Claudia of Matawan; and her brother-in-law, Fred Rivetti of Old Bridge.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:30 a.m. today in Woolworth Chapel at Woodlawn Cemetery, the Bronx. Entombment will immediately follow in the mausoleum. The family wishes to express their most heartfelt thanks to the entire Sunrise Assisted Living family and to Grace Hospice. O'Brien Funeral Home, Wall, is in charge of arrangements.

Her husband, William Sims; and her parents, Nazzareno and Alesandri Biele, all died previously. Survivors include her brother, Bob Biele of Morristown; and many cousins.

BIELE, MARJORIE (ALLEN), age 96, died on August 25, 2006, at the Scallop Shell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Peace Dale, RI. She had moved to Rhode Island in 1998 from Myrtle Beach, SC, where she had lived for 35 years. She lived at The Chalet at the Village at Waterman Lake, in Greenville RI, until she became ill in March of this year.
Born in Mt. Holly, New Jersey, September 1, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Mattie (Roberts) Allen and the late Harold Bayard Allen, Sr. She was the wife of the late Charles Edward Biele, Sr., a career naval reserve officer.
She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie J. Hanson of Hope Valley, RI, a son Charles Edward Biele, Jr., of Fairfax Station, VA, her granddaughter, Janice A. Biele, of Springfield, VA, her grandson, Charles E. Biele III of Roswell, GA, her grandson, Kenneth Allen Biele of Tustin, CA, two great-granddaughters, Chelsea E. Biele and Anna C. Biele, two great-grandsons, Charles E. Biele IV (Chad) and Adam C. Biele. She is also survived by three nieces, Patricia Allen Stenger, Barbara Allen Shinn, Dorothy Joan Allen, a nephew, Harold Bayard Allen III, and several grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Harold Bayard Allen, Jr.
Mrs. Biele graduated from Trenton State Teachers College in 1933 with majors in Music, English and History and a Minor in Physical Education, did graduate work at George Washington University, The Gardiner School of Business (graduating with a secretarial degree) and Civil Service course work. She was a Music Supervisor for Burlington County schools in New Jersey for many years, a Jr. High School music teacher in Kensington, MD, a fourth grade teacher in Parkwood, MD, an English and Social Studies teacher for the American Dependent Schools in Guam, an English teacher and registrar at the Frankfurt American High School in Frankfurt, Germany, a business education teacher and registrar at the Gardiner School of Business in Silver Spring, MD, and a teacher of adult education at the National Security Agency in Fort Meade, MD. She was a choir director and organist for Episcopal churches and military chapels in the Panama Canal Zone, Maryland, Guam and Germany.
Mrs. Biele was an avid volunteer with the American Red Cross beginning in 1941 as a Motor Corp Driver in East Orange, NJ, Jacksonville, FL, Panama Canal Zone, and Washington, DC, continued as a volunteer in Frankfurt, Germany, and was a hospital volunteer at the Air Force Base Hospital in Myrtle Beach, SC. She recieved an award for 35 yrs. of service in the American Red Cross. She started the 'Reach for Recovery' program for the American Cancer Society for breast cancer survivors in Horry County, SC. She was a volunteer tutor in the Literacy Program in Myrtle Beach. She was also a volunteer and member of the Board of Directors for 'Helping Hands' for those in need in Myrtle Beach, SC.
She was a member of the Archibald Rutledge Club in Myrtle Beach, SC, the DAR, the Phoenix Society AARP, and St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Greenville, RI. Her hobbies were her volunteering, reading volumes of books, e-mailing friends, and surfing the web on her MSNWeb TV2.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday 2-4pm, followed by a service at 4pm in the Tucker-Quinn Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave. (Rt. 44) Greenville. Burial will be with her husband in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Home and Hospice of RI (169 George Street, Pawtucket, RI), the Ocean Tides School Library fund (635 Ocean Road, Naragansett, RI 02882), the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.

Irving Henry "Hank" Biele 1920 ~ 2006 Irving Henry "Hank" Biele, born April 10, 1920 to Florence Alice Donohue and Ray Henry Biele, died peacefully on the morning of June 10, 2006. Married Katharine Osborne Voris on June 28, 1947. She preceded him in death in 1995. They had two children, Katharine O. Biele (George C. Howze), and Raymond Henry Biele II, who died in an automobile accident at the age of 29. Served five years active duty as an officer in the United States Army Field Artillery - three and a half years in the combat division in the Pacific Theater in World War II. Awarded commendation ribbon and Bronze Star for valor, Arrowhead and combat stars for three invasions (Gilbert and Marianas Islands and Okinawa). Member Kaibab Lodge #25, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and El Kalah Shrine. Hank graduated from the University of Utah School of Law, and had practiced law in Salt Lake City since 1948. He was president and founder of Biele, Haslam & Hatch.
He served three times as president of Community Nursing Service and was past chairman of the Sarah Daft board. He was a member of the Alta Club and an enthusiastic Crimson Club supporter. He is survived by his daughter, son-in-law and grandson, Raymond I. Howze; his niece, Susan Alitto; two nephews, Hugh and Donald Biele; and cousins, Sally Frampton and Calvin Plumhof. Thanks to his many dear and constant friends, his old ski partners and his famous poker buddies; and to his exceptional caregivers: Shanna Parker, Juan and Rosa Acharte. Hank was a Congregationalist who always attended St. Paul's Episcopal Church. If you asked him what he needed, he would say, "Just a little love and affection." Dennis P. Biele, of Topeka, passed away Saturday afternoon, December 17, 2005 at a Topeka hospital. He was 61. Mr. Biele was engineering manager at Point-to-Point Communications in Olathe prior to his retirement in September, 2005. He had previously been employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone for over thirty years. Dennis and his family moved to Topeka in November of 1983 from St. Louis. He was a member of Saint Matthew Church, the Telephone Pioneers of America for many years and had acted as head usher at St. Matthews for nineteen years. He was born in Flushing, New York on May 4, 1944, the son of Frank Biele and Ann Martin Biele. He was married to Anne Young in Queens, New York on February 19, 1966. She survives at home. Other survivors include his daughter, Heather Biele, Lawrence, Ks; one brother, Jim Biele, Brewster, NY and a sister Carol DeLuca, Coral Springs, Fl. Dennis Biele will lie in state after 2:00 oclock today at Brennan-Mathena funeral home where a Vigil Prayer Service with rosary will be held at 5:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Reverend Jerry Volz at 11:00 oclock Thursday morning at Saint Matthew Church. Rudolph P. Biele, 78, of Rhinebeck, NY, died Saturday, June 11, 2005 at the Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
Rudy and his wife moved to the Town of Clinton from the Bronx in 1986. In 1998 he moved to LasVegas, NV, returning to Rhinebeck in 2005.
He was a member of Local 15C of the International Union of Operating Engineers in New York City, and in Rhinebeck he was a bus driver for Laidlaw Transportation.
Rudy served in the US Navy during World War II in both the European and the Pacific Theaters of Operations.
Born October 19, 1926, in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Vincent and Marie C. (Giannone) Biele. His wife, Gilda Pignatelli, died on December 21, 1992.
He is survived by a step-daughter, Janice Obye, and a grandson, Alan Obye, both of Mendon, VT, and 5 nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at Church of the Good Shepherd in Rhinebeck. The Rev. Jeffrey R. Galens will officiate. Burial will be at Rhinebeck Cemetery.

BELVIN, ADELE VERA - Adele Vera Biele Belvin, of Yonkers, NY, died December 5, 2003 at St. Joseph‘s Hospital. Survived by her beloved husband, Rudell H. Belvin and two devoted children: William H. Belvin and Joan E. Belvin- O‘Brien. A daughter, Adele Ann Belvin is predeceased. She is also survived by one brother, Edward C. Biele and five grandchildren. Born in the Bronx, NY, the daughter of Edward and Edith Biele, she lived most of her life in Yonkers, NY. Attended and graduated Yonkers High School before attending Columbia Business School. She worked for the Burnham Corp., a manufacturer of Greenhouses, as a claims adjustor for approximately 13 years before retiring in 1981. During WWII, she enlisted in the Women‘s Army Corp., where she was promoted to the rank of Masters Sergeant. She worked for Military Intelligence in the Pentagon and was awarded the Legion of Merit Medal for her substantial contribution to the war against Japan. She was the fifth enlisted member of the Women‘s Army Corp. to be decorated with the prestigious award. She was also awarded the New York State Conspicuous Service Cross for her “credible service to the United States and the State of New York“. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 8:30 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be Thursday at Kensico Cemetery. June 12: Anthony J. Biele, 61, of Miami Lakes, and his girlfriend from New York, veered off the Florida Turnpike near 106th Street in north Dade and plunged into the canal that runs parallel to the highway. Biele died at the scene and his girlfriend died later.

Mr. Crowder was a sales representative at Dick Dean Volkswagen in Kirkwood, where he had worked for four years.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles. A funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Baue. Burial will be at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, 3950 West Clay Street.

SUN CITY, ARIZONA- Janet Freed Biele Fagg passed away Oct. 29, 2000 at Sun Health Care Center in Sun City, Arizona.
She was born June 22, 1910 in Pueblo, Colorado, a daughter of Charles E. Freed and Nettie Schwer Freed. She graduated from Centennial High School in Pueblo, Co. During her father's illness and after his death, she worked in his insurance agency in Pueblo, Co. In 1934 she married Leo Biele. In 1947 they moved to Ogden, Utah, where Leo managed the Badger Lumber Company until his death. In 1951 she went to work for Junius R Tribe Real Estate and Insurance in Ogden, Utah. In 1954 she went to work for C. LaMar Fagg Insurance Agency and became a partner in that organization.
In 1961 she married Charles LaMar Fagg and continued working in the insurance business until they sold their business in 1980.
In 1984 they moved to Sun City, Arizona as part time residents and in 1988 became permanent residents. Charles LaMar Fagg died December 24, 1989.
Janet is survived by a daughter, Sally Biele Layton Frampton; five stepchildren, Donald, William, Roger, Warren and Barbara Summers.

A Mass for Dominic Mennillo, 87, of Old Bridge will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge, after the funeral from the Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Rd., East Brunswick.
Mr. Mennillo, who died Thursday in the Summerhill Nursing Home, Old Bridge, was employed with Pathmark before retiring in 1982.
Born in the Bronx, he lived in Old Bridge for many years.
Surviving are his wife, Marion; two sons, Frank and Richard; a sister, Mrs. Vera Biele, and three grandchildren.

Lisa C. Hartranft, 27, of Pollo Estates, Schelocta, formerly of New Holland, died Wednesday evening in Allegheny County. Her death is under investigation by the Allegheny County coroner.
Ms. Hartranft had been employed as a legal secretary in the Pittsburgh area for a short time. She later was a hairdresser, most recently at a beauty salon in Kittanning.
She previously had attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, New Holland.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John R. "Jack" and Charlotte T. Biele Musselman.
Surviving are two daughters, Marlene E. Rankin of Clarion and Amber M. Pratt of Kittanning; a sister, Sharon E., married to Jeffery D. Sprouse of New Freedom; maternal grandmother Elizabeth Bieleof Pomona, N.Y.; and paternal grandmother Roberta Musselman of Ephrata.

Barbara A. (Carthas) Biele of South Boston, a former teacher at St. Brigid's School, died Sunday in Beth Israel Hospital. She was 73.
Mrs. Biele was a native of South Boston, where she taught elementary school children at St. Brigid's School for 20 years until her retirement in 1988. She also tutored children in her home.
An accomplished singer, she was a soloist with the choir at St. Brigid's Church and sang at USO concerts during World War II.
She leaves two daughters, Barbara A. of Swampscott and Anne P. Biele-McClure of Roslindale; a son, Mark J. of South Boston; two sisters, Anna T. Carthas and Patricia F. McDonough, both of South Boston; a brother, Arthur X. Carthas of South Boston; and six grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be said at 10 a.m. tomorrow in St. Brigid's Church in South Boston. Burial will be in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.

Born December 5, 1920 in Salt Lake City to Edwin Francis Voris and Gladys Richmond Voris. Member and past president of the Woman's Board of Westminster College. Also member and past president of St. Mark's Hospital Auxiliary. Volunteer at St. Mark's Hospital for 36 years. Member of the Town Club and Junior League of Salt Lake City. Served on board of trustees for Rowland Hall. Graduate of Rowland Hall School for Girls. Attended University of Utah. Member St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

Mr. Hove, who died June 3, was born in Alaska.
He had lived in Spokane as a child and spent the last eight years here. He was a cook at the Elks Lodge, a handyman and a house painter and had worked at Ernst in the Spokane Valley.

ANGELO A. BIELE, 65, of Waldwick died Friday. He was a mechanic for the Borough of Waldwick. He was chief of the Waldwick Volunteer Fire Department from 1960 to 1963 and a member since 1947. He was a member of the Waldwick Firemen's Exempt Association and the International Association of Fire Chiefs. He also was a former fire instructor at the fire academies in Wayne and Mahwah. He was a recipient of the Chiefs Award for outstanding contributions to the Waldwick Fire Department and community and the American Legion award for outstanding service to the community. He was a member of the Waldwick Lions Club and former district and state chairman of the Juvenile Diabetes Association. He was a parishioner of St. Luke's R.C. Church, Ho-Ho-Kus, and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.
